An IndiGo passenger, Ananth Narayanan, recently shared his travel ordeal on X, recounting a shocking experience on a Mumbai to Bengaluru flight (Flight 5047). Narayanan’s video, capturing seats without cushions, went viral, drawing attention from the airline.

In his X post on December 2, Narayanan expressed frustration, stating, “2 hours late and no seats @IndiGo6E flight 5047! Service really seems to be deteriorating!” The accompanying video showed two seats lacking cushions, garnering over 13,000 views and numerous comments.

IndiGo responded in the comments, apologizing for the inconvenience and expressing efforts to connect with Narayanan. The airline assured him that the flight would take off shortly and wished him a comfortable journey.

Commenters voiced their displeasure, questioning the airline’s service standards. One user criticized, “Terrible! Foods and Beverages give them their most revenue, but still, they can’t take out their seats just like this! Without seats, how can a passenger can order their in-flight foods?”

This incident follows a previous case where another passenger encountered a seat without a cushion on an IndiGo flight, raising concerns about the airline’s seat maintenance practices.
