The earthquake occurred at 23:47:34 (UTC+05:30) and the epicenter was located at 2.881 N and 127.100 E respectively. According to USGS, the depth was found to be 12 km. As of now, there is no information about any casualty.
Tobelo is a city located on the eastern Indonesian island of Halmahera. Earlier on January 16, there was a 6.2 magnitude earthquake in Indonesia. The US Geological Survey said in an update on its website that the quake struck 40 kilometers southeast of the Indonesian city of Singkil. The earthquake was recorded at 03:59:58 (local time) at a depth of 37 km.
