The police officer leading the investigation stated that the student was indeed subjected to ragging and sexual molestation. The incident involved the student being forced to undress in one of the rooms (room No. 70), after which he was paraded naked in the corridor. The police have gathered evidence to support these claims.

A WhatsApp group created by one of the arrested suspects was discovered by the investigators. This group was allegedly formed to mislead the police and divert their attention from the actual details of the incident. The arrested individuals were reportedly attempting to hide the ragging aspect of the incident.

As part of the investigation, the cook of the hostel was questioned to gather more information about the events of August 9, the day of the incident. Two other students from the university have also been summoned for questioning in relation to the ongoing probe.

The incident occurred on the night of August 9 when the student died after allegedly falling from a balcony on the second floor of the main boy’s hostel near the campus. The student’s family claimed that he was a victim of ragging and sexual molestation.
