Jalandhar: A big news has come out about Waris Punjab De Mukhi Amritpal Singh. According to the information received, Amritpal Singh, the head of pro-Khalistan Waris Punjab De, has been arrested by the Punjab Police. Earlier, 6 associates of Amritpal Singh were arrested with weapons. It is being told that after the arrest of six people, the police have also recovered weapons from them.

Actually, Amritpal Singh’s convoy was being chased by the police. During this time, the police have recovered 2 vehicles. 3 cases are registered against Amritpal Singh. Out of which 2 are related to hate speech. According to sources, the police have made an arrest near Mahitpur police station near Dharmakot.

According to sources, as soon as the Punjab Police surrounded Amritpal, he got into his car and ran away through the link road. Around 100 vehicles of Punjab Police have followed him. Amritpal is reported to have been arrested from Jalandhar’s Nakodar area, but this is not being confirmed.

The police has launched an operation for this, Internet service has been stopped in entire Punjab. States that all mobile internet services, all SMS services (except banking and mobile recharge) and all dongle services provided over mobile networks except voice calls in the territorial jurisdiction of Punjab from March 19 (12:00 hrs) The protests will remain closed till March 19 as the state police has initiated arrest proceedings against Khalistani sympathizer ‘Waris Punjab De’ chief Amritpal Singh and his associates.

Varinder Singh of Chamkaur Sahib in Rupnagar district lodged a complaint against Lovepreet Singh and 30 of his supporters, including Amritpal, for abduction and assault, after which Lovepreet and another accused were arrested. One of the accused had already been released by the police, but Amritpal warned of a sit-in outside the police station to release Lovepreet. Amritpal along with his supporters reached the police station along with the holy image of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. When the police tried to stop him, the angry mob broke the barricades and attacked the police station with swords and guns, injuring six policemen, including the SP.
