“Following my conversation with the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Israel and Turkey are returning ambassadors and consuls general.
The start of new ties with Turkey will be crucial for regional peace and stability, and economically it would be a boon for the people of Israel. We will try our best to strengthen Israel’s international status all over the world. PM Yair Lapid said on Wednesday.
In a series of tweets, the Israeli PM revealed that the two nations have established full diplomatic ties.
Following conclusions reached during my visit to Ankara with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt avuolu in light of the positive developments in Israel-Turkey relations over the past year, the two countries decided to revert to full diplomatic representation, he tweeted.
PM Yair Lapid said, “Last night, the director general of Israel, Alon Ushpiz, spoke with the Turkish deputy ambassador, Sadat Onal, and the two concluded the matter.”
The development of relations has been positive, and the restoration of diplomatic relations is a continuation of the positive trend in recent years.
“The new relations between the two nations will increase economic, trade, and tourism ties and strengthen regional stability,” Israel’s PM Yair Lapid said.
