Israel’s ambassador to India, Naor Gilon, receives online abuse amid ‘The Kashmir Files’ row

Israel's ambassador to India, Naor Gilon, has voiced concern over the online abuse.

New Delhi: Israel’s ambassador to India, Naor Gilon, has voiced concern over the online abuse he has been experiencing in the days following his public criticism of Nadav Lapid for dubbing The Kashmir Files a “propaganda, vulgar” movie.

Gilon posted a screenshot of a Twitter comment that he had received on Saturday. “Hitler was fantastic when he burned down scum like you,” stated the tweet’s message. immediately, and leave India alone. Hitler was a wonderful man.

“Just wanted to share one of the few DMs I got on this route,” the Israeli convoy wrote. The man has a PhD, according to his profile. I chose to remove his identifying information, even though he doesn’t need my protection.

The moment he posted the message, he got a huge amount of support from the Indians. However, in another tweet, he thanked all those who supported him. 

Naor Gilon, Ambassador of Israel to India, in response to Israeli filmmaker Nadav Lapid’s calling ‘The Kashmir Files’ a propaganda, vulgar film, said that “it is insensitive and presumptuous to speak about historical events before deeply studying them.”
