Maranello: Italian marque Ferrari today released the first official image of its long-awaited SUV, the Purosangue. The hotly-anticipated model has been a part of the folklore much before Ferrari officially announced its intention to build one and has been at the receiving end of some polarising opinions over the years. The company published a teaser photo of the vehicle’s front end to Instagram, giving us a clear look at its design scheme. Interestingly, the car shown by Ferrari looks to be an exact match to the vehicle seen in leaked spy shots published on the web in February 2022.
The Italian supercar company published the teaser photo with the exposure turned all the way down, but a quick Photoshop gives us a clearer look at the nose. The split headlight design and shark-nose grille shape are cues borrowed from Ferrari’s mid-engine SF90 and F8 Tributo supercars.
There is no phrase on the powertrain but however the Purosangue is anticipated to attract energy from twin turbo V8 engine that might make about 700 bhp. A smaller V6 hybrid can’t be dominated out both. Energy might be despatched to all 4 wheels through a dual-clutch transmission. A V12 is much less doubtless however possibly that is the redemption key that may flip naysayers into followers of the “FUV.”
More details on the upcoming Ferrari Purosangue will be available later in the year. And you can expect more teasers to follow. Production will begin in 2022 while deliveries are likely to begin sometime in 2023. Can the Purosangue replicate the Lamborghini Urus’ success? We’ll find out soon enough.
