Srinagar: A tragic accident took place in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday. A bus overturned out of control in Awantipora area of the district. Four people died in this accident. While many were injured. The police reached the spot and admitted the injured to the hospital. Police say that the deceased were residents of Bihar.
A Jammu and Kashmir Police official said that the bus overturned on the National Highway in Goripora area of Awantipora. Many passengers were injured. He said that three injured died on the way to the hospital while another one died at the hospital in Pampore. The condition of some of the injured is said to be critical.
The deceased have been identified as Nasruddin Ansari son of Islam Ansari resident of Khairawa Tola Pati Harditera West Champaran, Bihar, Raj Karan Das son of Shivu Singhari Gobindpur Kishanganj, Khatia Pichia, Bihar, Salim Ali son of Mohammad Alauddin resident of Hakimnagar Chilhapara, Katihar, and Kaiser Alam son of Sheo Majkurul Birnagar Sharifnagar is located in Barsoikhat, Katihar, Bihar.
According to the information, The accident took place around 7:30 AM, and some reports suggest that the overspeeding bus hit a divider and lost control. Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance and started an investigation.
