J-K: Mobile internet service temporarily suspended in Jammu and Rajouri, after J&K DG prisons Hemant Lohia murder

New Delhi: A latest update in this case, The Jammu & Kashmir administration has temporarily suspended mobile data services in Jammu and Rajouri districts on Tuesday. Today Home Minister Amit Shah is also on a visit to Jammu and Kashmir. He will address a public meeting in Rajori today.

New Delhi: A latest update in this case, The Jammu & Kashmir administration has temporarily suspended mobile data services in Jammu and Rajouri districts on Tuesday, fearing “misuse by miscreants” which may cause “deterioration in public order”.

According to the information, The police have released the pictures of the accused servant. Today Home Minister Amit Shah is also on a visit to Jammu and Kashmir. He will address a public meeting in Rajori today. In view of this, internet service has been partially suspended in some parts of Jammu and Rajori.

According to the police, Jammu and Kashmir DG Jail Hemant K Lohia was murdered at his house. He was murdered by slitting his throat. Not only this, marks of injury have also been found on his body. Terrorist organization TRF has claimed responsibility for the killing of HK Lohia. The police suspect that his servant carried out the murder. The servant is a resident of Ramban in Jammu and Kashmir.

DGP Dilbag Singh described the incident as very unfortunate. He said that a search operation has been launched to nab the servant. He is absconding. Dilbag Singh told that the accused tried to burn the body of Hemant’s Lohia. Lohia was promoted to Director General Prisons in Jammu and Kashmir in August itself. Mukesh Singh, Additional Director General of Police, Jammu visited Lohia’s house. Burn marks and slit throat were found on Lohia’s body, they said.

Lohia was a 1992 batch IPS officer. Lohia was on central deputation for a long time but returned to Jammu and Kashmir in February 2022 as Additional Director General of Police. He was posted as Commandant General in Home Guards/Civil Defence/State Disaster Response Force (SDRF). He was promoted to the post of DG Jail in August 2022. Hemant Lohia has a wife, a son and a daughter.
