Jammu and Kashmir: One Terrorist killed near LoC in Kupwara district, arms and ammunition seized

Jammu and Kashmir: On Wednesday, Security forces said that they foiled an infiltration bid by terrorists along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir and killed one foreign terrorist. The police have also recovered several incriminating materials including arms and ammunition.

Jammu and Kashmir: On Wednesday, Security forces said that they foiled an infiltration bid by terrorists along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir and killed one foreign terrorist. According to the details, a gunfight erupted in the Sudpora region of the Union Territory. The police have also recovered several incriminating materials including arms and ammunition.

Confirming the killing of one terrorist, Kashmir Zone Police tweeted, ‘A foreign terrorist has been killed in Sudhpora near LoC in Kupwara. Weapons and other objectionable items have been found from his possession.

Earlier, a suspected terrorist hideout was busted by the security forces in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir recently. Arms and ammunition were also recovered from this place. According to an official statement, J-K Police and 23 RR Army launched a joint search operation in the forest area of the tehsil Khari of the district, based on the inputs.

In fact, last week five alleged ‘overground workers’ were detained under the Public Safety Act on charges of indulging in anti-national activities. Officials said the police had prepared ‘dossiers’ of the five persons and their activities. Officials said the District Magistrate imposed the Public Safety Act on him and then he was taken into custody.

The five alleged ‘overground workers’ taken into custody have been identified as Nazir Ahmed Pala, a resident of Fagu Doligam, Mohd Usma Banli, a resident of Pogal Kunda, Firdous Ahmed Khan, a resident of Krawa, Abdul Hameed Khan, a resident of Tethar, and Inayatullah Wani, a resident of Gund Adalkoot.
