Jammu and Kashmir: In a joint operation of the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police busted a terrorist module in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. Two hardcore terrorist associates were arrested in an intelligence based joint operation in Budhal area yesterday.
The Defense PRO said that the armed forces recovered one pistol, two magazines, 28 rounds, two hand grenades and other war-like items. It added that upon their disclosure, some other items like clothes and a wire cutter were also recovered from the nearby forest.
The PRO statement read, “On 06 December 2023, in a relentless intelligence-based joint operation by the Indian Army and JKP south of the Pir Panjal Range in the Budhal area, two staunch terrorist associates were apprehended with one pistol, two magazines, 28 bullets, two handguns and one pistol, hand grenades and other munitions stores.”
Jammu-based Army PRO Lt Col Sunil Bartwal said a sustained intelligence-based joint operation by the Army and police resulted in the busting of a terror module with the arrest of two “hardcore terrorist associates”. Police said Mohammad Farooq and Mohammad Nazir were arrested during a search and cordon operation in Behrote village in Budhal area of the district.
