Tragic road accident in Jammu and Kashmir, bus carrying pilgrims fell into ditch, 2 killed, many injured
A tragic road accident has taken place in Jammu and Kashmir, the bus of pilgrims going from Rajouri district to Shivkhodi fell into a ditch. Two people died in this accident, while 19 people were injured. The injured were taken to the local hospital for treatment. After this he has been referred to Government Medical College Jammu.
Devotees were going to visit Baba Bholenath on the occasion of Mahashivaratri on Saturday. A bus carrying pilgrims to Shivkhodi temple went out of control and skidded. The bus skidded off the road and fell into a ditch. The accident took place at Taryath in Ransu area around 12.30 am when the driver of the vehicle lost control while taking a turn, he said.
Devotees were going to ShivKhodi cave temple
Officials said the devotees in the bus were going from Rajouri to the Shiv Khodi cave temple on the occasion of Maha Shivratri. He said that immediately after the accident, rescue work was started and the injured were rushed to the nearest hospital, where doctors declared two people brought dead. Officials said that 12 injured have been referred to Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu for treatment.
