Jammu and Kashmir: Train derails in Mazhama area of Budgam district, no injuries reported

New Delhi: A train derailed in Mazhama area of ​​central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Friday. However, no casualties have been reported in this incident.

A railway official said that the accident took place this morning when the train left for Baramulla from Mazhama station. He said that a coach of train number 04483 skidded at km number 85/7 and 85/8 on the Budgam-Baramulla track. “All passengers are safe”

Officials said the incident took place amid snowfall on Friday morning. The reasons for the accident are being ascertained. There could also be some kind of technical glitch in the primary.

Apart from this, slippery due to snowfall can also become the reason. The administrative officer said that no passenger was harmed in the incident.

Train services between Budgam and Baramulla have been suspended after the accident. Efforts are on to restore them. Banihal to Srinagar service continues.
