Jammu-Kashmir: Major accident in Pahalgam, ITBP security personnel's bus crashes, 7 ITBP jawans dead and 32 jawans injured.
Jammu-Kashmir: A major accident has happened in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. In this major accident 7 ITBP jawans dead and 32 jawans injured. The bus carrying ITBP jawans fell into a gorge in Chandanwadi area.
According to the information given by the Indo-Tibetan Border Police, 39 soldiers were in the bus. Among them were 2 personnel of ITBP 37 and Jammu and Kashmir Police. The accident happened due to failure of the brakes of the bus.
The jawans in the bus were returning from Amarnath Yatra duty. ITBP commandos have been dispatched to the spot to expedite the rescue operation.
Shahnawaz Hussain expressed grief
Former Bihar minister Shahnawaz Hussain has expressed grief over the incident. He tweeted, “The accident in Pahalgam, Kashmir is extremely sad. I am deeply pained by the news of the martyrdom and injuries of many soldiers due to the fall of the ITBP bus engaged in the Amarnath Yatra. Deepest condolences to the families of the martyrs. While praying for the speedy recovery of the injured jawans.
LG Manoj Sinha expressed grief over the accident
Jammu and Kashmir LG Manoj Sinha has expressed deep grief over this accident. He tweeted, “Deeply saddened by the bus accident near Chandanwadi, in which we lost our brave ITBP jawans. My condolences to the bereaved families and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured. Possible assistance is being provided.

Former CM Omar Abdullah expressed grief
At the same time, former Chief Minister of the state Omar Abdullah also tweeted condoling the martyrdom of the soldiers. He said, “Today received very sad news from South Kashmir. Condolences to the families and colleagues of the brave ITBP jawans who were martyred in the accident in Pahalgam. Many ITBP jawans have been injured. I wish them well. I send my best wishes for a healthy recovery.
