During the show’s conclusion on Sunday, Harsh Sikandar from Jalandhar was named the first runner-up, and Dnyaneshwari Gadage from Thane was named the second runner-up.
Comedian-anchor Bharti Singh hosted the show, and music composer Anu Malik, along with Shankar Mahadevan and Neeti Mohan, served as judges on the programme.
Nine-year-old Jetshen Dohna Lama began singing at the age of three. On the show, Shankar Mahadevan used to refer to her as “Mini Sunidhi Chauhan.” In a statement following her victory, Jetshen remarked, “This is a dream come true for me!”
Honestly speaking, there was cutthroat competition in the event because all the contestants of the season were replete with talent, and it was my pleasure to share the stage with them. It was a great learning experience during my journey on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs season 9.
I would like to give my thanks to all my mentors who kept supporting me and helping me all the way, and they unveiled my potential as a singer. “I will take away a lot of memories along with me and am hoping for a successful singing journey.”
When asked what she wished to do with the prize money of Rs 10 lakh, she said, “I wish to buy a puppy and build a swimming pool at home.” She further added, “I will go to Sikkim and first complete my education, then return and continue with singing.”
Earlier, noted boxer Mary Kom and a footballer praised Jetshen’s effort. Mary Kom had shared pictures of Jetshen in November last year and had written on Instagram, “You are so lovely #jetshenlama @jetshen_dohna “Keep going… your voice is extremely excellent.” Footballer Bhaichung Bhutia had also appealed to his fans to vote for Jetshen.
