After winning the belief, Hemant Soren gave his first reaction to Twitter. He wrote, “Live, we keep burning the opposition from our work, Democracy Jindabad!” “The opposition has destroyed democracy… BJP has been indulging in horse-trading of legislators… We will show our strength in the House,” Soren said in the assembly. “People purchase commodities in the market, but the BJP buys legislators,” he alleged.

Targeting the BJP in the House, Chief Minister Hemant Soren said, “The way troubles are being created for our government, we have three MLAs in Bengal. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma is responsible for the MLAs caught on the charge of horse-trading in Bengal. They are not cooperating with the police going to the state for investigation. A day ago, the legislators flew back to Ranchi after spending days at a resort in Chhattisgarh capital Raipur resort amid alleged fears of the Opposition BJP’s attempts to lure them to the other camp.Soren had met the legislators last night at circuit house where they spent the night.

The ruling coalition has 48 MLAs in the 81-member assembly. The largest party JMM has 30 MLAs, Congress 18 and Tejashwi Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has one MLA. The main opposition BJP has 26 MLAs.The majority figure is 41. The political crisis in Jharkhand emerged after a petition by the BJP sought Soren’s disqualification from the Assembly in an office of profit case. The BJP has accused Soren of allocating a mining lease to himself while he held the state Mining portfolio in 2021.

In February this year, the BJP submitted a memorandum to the governor Ramesh Bais seeking disqualification of Soren from the House under Section 9(A) of the Representation of People’s Act. The Election Commission has submitted its decision in this regard to the governor, however, the same is yet to be made public.

CM Soren said in the House, ‘BJP wants to create such an environment in which two states are pitted against each other. They want to create an atmosphere of civil war and incite riots to win elections. Let me tell you as long as the UPA government is here, such plans will not work here. You will get a befitting political reply. Intimidating and intimidating us will not work.’
