The news of IED blast has come to the fore in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir, where two people have been injured in the IED blast. Earlier on Sunday also, four people were killed by terrorists in Rajouri while 8 people were injured.
Srinagar: Terrorists have wreaked havoc in Jammu and Kashmir. Today IED blast took place in Rajouri. Two child died tragically in this attack, while five people including two women were seriously injured. The big thing is that in Dangri village of Rajouri, where this blast took place, terrorists had killed four villagers yesterday by firing indiscriminately. The police have said that the blast took place during the search operation.
According to sources, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) team will visit Upper Dangri village in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. Security has been increased in Dangri village in view of frequent attacks by terrorists. Security forces are using drones for surveillance in the area. Police is stationed everywhere. Security personnel are running a search operation in the area after these incidents.
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh and a government job to the families of those killed in the Rajouri firing incident. Whereas one lakh rupees will be given to the seriously injured.
Suspected terrorists opened fire on three houses of a particular community in Upper Dangri village of Rajouri district yesterday, killing four and injuring several. The bullets were fired at three houses situated at a distance of about 50 meters from each other. The terrorists came near the village and fled after firing indiscriminately at all the three houses.
Significantly, this is the first such attack in the last many years in the Jammu region, which is very peaceful in comparison to the Valley, and that too on the first day of the new year. Jammu Zone’s Additional Director General of Police Mukesh Singh said that the police, army and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) have jointly launched an elaborate cordon and search operation to nab two armed men involved in the firing in Upper Dangri village.
