Budgam Encounter: An encounter breaks down between security forces and terrorists in Budgam, Kashmir on Tuesday morning. In this encounter, the army has killed two terrorists. It is being said that firing was also done from the side of the terrorists in which two civilians were also injured.
Srinagar: After continuous target killing in Kashmir by the terrorists, the army has maintained its front. In view of the increasing target killing, the army has started a ‘cleansing campaign’ in Jammu and Kashmir. It is reported that there was an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Budgam, Kashmir on Tuesday morning. Two terrorists have been killed in this encounter (Budgam Encounter).
According to sources, both the terrorists killed have been identified as Arbaz Mir and Shahid Sheikh of Pulwama. Both were associated with the banned terrorist organization Lashkar. Both the terrorists had escaped from the recent encounter. The encounter took place when the army and police were trying to stop a suspicious vehicle. On seeing the police, he started firing. After this, both were killed in a joint retaliatory action by the army and the police. Arms and ammunition have also been recovered from them.
According to the information received, the encounter took place near the court complex of Budgam. After the news of the encounter between security forces and terrorists, top police officers and other security force officers as well as army officers reached the spot. At present, the area has been cordoned off and a search operation is underway.
Giving information about this incident, the ADGP of Kashmir has confirmed it. He said that both the killed terrorists have been identified. Both have been identified as Arbaz Mir and Shahid Sheikh of Pulwama. Both were killed in retaliatory firing after a joint area control party of the army and police tried to intercept a suspicious vehicle in Budgam district. Police and army have also recovered arms and ammunition from the terrorists.
