This grenade has been hurled at a bullet proof bunker vehicle of CRPF guarding a minority village. There is no casualty in this attack. Earlier on the previous day too, terrorists had attacked two places in Jammu and Kashmir.
At the same time, even today, terrorists attacked in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir. A Kashmiri Pandit was killed while his brother was injured in an attack by terrorists in an apple orchard. A police official said that the deceased was identified as Sunil Kumar. While Pintu Kumar was injured in the attack.
A police spokesman said, “Terrorists attacked civilians at an apple orchard in Chotipura in Shopian district. One person was killed and another was injured in the firing. Both belong to the minority community. The injured were taken to the hospital.” The area has been cordoned off.” Terrorists have increased attacks in the Kashmir Valley in the last one week. A policeman was killed in Nowhatta on Sunday and a migrant laborer in Bandipora last week.
Two grenade attacks were carried out on Monday in Budgam and Srinagar districts. Terrorists had attacked with a grenade in Gopalapura Chadoora area of Budgam. A person named Karan Kumar Singh was injured in this attack. After this the terrorists threw a grenade at the police control room in Srinagar. A policeman was slightly injured in this attack. After which the whole area was cordoned off.
