J&K: An Encounter breaks out in Budgam district, 3 LeT terrorists trapped

Jammu-Kashmir: An encounter started early on Wednesday in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. Police said that three terrorists of terrorist organization Lashkar (TRF), including terrorist Latif Rather, have been trapped in the ongoing encounter.

ADGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar told media, “Terrorist Latif is involved in the killings of several civilians including Rahul Bhat and Amrin Bhat.” In a tweet, Kashmir Zone Police said, “Encounter has begun in Waterhole area of ​​#Budgam. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details will be followed.”

According to the information, a ‘hybrid’ terrorist of the banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) was arrested by the 34 RR unit of the Indian Army from Budgam area earlier on Sunday. the authorities also seized incriminating material including 5 pistols, 5 magazines, 50 rounds and two grenades from him.

A jawan was injured in an encounter in Kulgam area of ​​Jammu and Kashmir on August 5 . Two terrorists escaped from the spot while one person got trapped after being injured. Chadoora Tehsil Office employee Rahul Bhat was shot dead by terrorists on May 12 in his office while Kashmiri TV actor Amreen Bhat was killed by unidentified terrorists in Budgam’s Chadoora area on May 26, this year.
