New Delhi: On Wednesday, Another terrorist was killed in an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir that started a day earlier. Jammu Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Mukesh Singh said, "The second terrorist has been killed in the ongoing encounter in Narla area of Rajouri."
New Delhi: On Wednesday, Another terrorist was killed in an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir that started a day earlier. Jammu Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Mukesh Singh said, “The second terrorist has been killed in the ongoing encounter in Narela area of Rajouri.”
An army personnel was also killed in this encounte. Three other security personnel, including a Special Police Officer, sustained injuries during the exchange of fire. Mukesh Singh, Additional Director General of Police (Jammu Zone) said that a gunfight broke out between terrorists and soldiers during the search operation in Narla village.
He further said, “A terrorist and an Army soldier were killed while three security personnel – two Army jawans and one special police officer – were injured in the gunfight.” A joint operation to monitor and track the movement of two terrorists was launched by the Indian Army and the Jammu and Kashmir Police on 7 September, 2023, according to the army.
The Army said in a statement, The army surrounded the terrorists and heavy gunfire took place on 12 September 2023, in which one terrorist was killed the same night. Despite bad weather and adverse terrain, the second terrorist was chased and killed on the morning of September 13 after heavy firing throughout the night. Rajouri and Poonch were considered free from terrorism a few years ago, but in the last few months they have been on the terrorist radar.
