J&K: Rahul’s Bharat Jodo Yatra suspended at Qazigund due to lapse in security cover

The Bharat Jodo Yatra being taken out under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi was stopped at Qazigund in Banihal in Jammu and Kashmir. Congress alleges that security is not being provided in the yatra. Because of this the journey had to be stopped. The Congress said that until we do not get security, the progress of the yatra is not free from danger.

Jammu and Kashmir: The Congress has alleged that security has been suddenly withdrawn from Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ in Kashmir. Congress MP KC Venugopal tweeted, “The concerned agencies have not fixed the security here. There is no security official with the Bharat Jodo Yatra since last 15 minutes. This is a serious lapse. Rahul Gandhi and other passengers without Can’t walk with any security.”

The Bharat Jodo Yatra, which started in Kanyakumari on September 7, will conclude on January 30 in Srinagar after covering 3,970 km, 12 states and two Union territories.

Adequate security arrangements were also not made on entering the valley beyond Banihal. Rahul Gandhi cannot be allowed to enter Kashmir like this. As soon as the issue of lapse in security came to the fore, Rahul Gandhi left the yatra midway and left for Khannabal.

AICC in-charge Rajni Patil tweeted that the J&K administration “failed to provide security to the Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Shri Rahul Gandhi”. “The lapse in security is indicative of the unprepared and unprepared attitude of the Union Territory’s administration,” Patil said. gives.”

Congress said that the Bharat Jodo Yatra has been stopped as the yatra has not been provided with further security. The leaders said that they will not start the yatra until further security has been provided to them.

“There is no security. We cannot allow Rahul Gandhi to go ahead without security. Even if he wants to walk, we can’t allow it. Senior security officers have to come here,” said senior Congress leader KC Venugopal.

Jammu and Kashmir National Conference leader Omar Abdullah joined Congress’s Bharat Jodo Yatra from Banihal in Ramban district as the foot march prepared to enter its Kashmir leg on Friday.

Abdullah joined Gandhi at the railway station and walked for about 2 km to the Truck Yard. The duo was joined by other senior leaders from the National Conference, including NC Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani and former NC minister Sakeena. The Bharat Jodo Yatra resumed this morning from Old Highway in Qazigund in Ramban district around 9.00 am.

From Banihal, the yatra was supposed to enter the Kashmir valley through Qazigund and reach Anantnag district’s Khanabal area.

The yatra started from Kanyakumari on September 7 and entered Jammu and Kashmir via Punjab.

The march will culminate with Gandhi unfurling the national flag at party headquarters in Srinagar and addressing a grand rally at the Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium on January 30.
