J&K SI Recruitment Scam: CBI raids on 33 locations including top J&K cops, CRPF officials

CBI has raided 33 locations including Delhi, UP and Gujarat. This action has been taken in the case related to the SI recruitment scam in Jammu and Kashmir. The CBI team has also raided the premises of former Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) chairman Khalid Jehangir and examination controller Ashok Kumar.

New Delhi: CBI has raided 33 locations including Delhi, UP and Gujarat. This action has been taken in the case related to the SI recruitment scam in Jammu and Kashmir. The raids have been carried out in Srinagar, Karnal, Mahendragarh, Rewari in Haryana as well as Gandhinagar in Gujarat, Delhi, Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh and Bangalore in Karnataka.

The CBI team has also raided the premises of former Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) chairman Khalid Jehangir and examination controller Ashok Kumar. The premises of officers of Jammu and Kashmir Police, DSP and CRPF are also being raided.

After registering the FIR on August 5, the CBI had said that the investigating agency has registered a case against 33 accused on the appeal of the Jammu and Kashmir administration. There are allegations of irregularities in the written examination for the posts of Sub-Inspectors in Jammu and Kashmir Police. This exam was conducted by Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) on 27.03.2022.

The results of the examination were declared on June 4 this year, after which allegations of malpractices came to the fore. The probe agency had said that JKSSB has violated norms in outsourcing the question paper to a private company based in Bengaluru. The Jammu and Kashmir administration had constituted a committee to probe the allegations.

Earlier on Monday, the NIA had raided about 60 places in North India. In this raid, he was on the top gang radar, which is being operated in India, in jails or abroad. Recently, NIA also held a meeting with Haryana and Punjab Police officers.

The NIA had prepared a complete dossier for action on gangsters and their gangs. This action was taken against the gangsters involved in other activities including target killing. The NIA had conducted these raids in Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and western UP. Recently, NIA started investigation by registering a case against 10 gangsters including Neeraj Bawana gang, Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

According to the NIA dossier, Neeraj Sehrawat alias Neeraj Bawana and his gang are engaged in killing big people and spreading terror in other states including Delhi. According to sources, Neeraj Bawana and his gang also have a gang war with Lawrence Bishnoi. Neeraj Bawana is in jail but due to the operatives, his fear is still intact. Hours after the murder of Punjabi singer-turned-politician Sidhu Musewala, Delhi gangster Neeraj Bawana created a sensation by announcing revenge on the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
