It’s the 13th infiltration attempt thwarted by the security forces this year in Jammu – a maximum of them were foiled in the Machil sector and Poonch, Rajouri area. Around 28 infiltrators have been killed including two in today’s operation.
Earlier on October 13, the security forces detected and destroyed a suspicious object in Kupwara. The Army found two suspicious small gas cylinders, suspected to be IEDs, on the roadside at Odipora in the Kralgund area of the north Kashmir district. According to the officials, a bomb disposal squad was called to the spot which later destroyed the suspicious object. There was no loss of life or damage to property during the destruction of the suspicious object, they added.
