JKCA money laundering: Chargesheet filed against ex J&k CM Farooq Abdullah ,orders to appear in court on July 27

New Delhi: A supplementary charge sheet has been filed on Tuesday against former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah and other accused in the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) money laundering case. In this charge sheet, along with Abdullah, then JKCA officers Ahsan Ahmed Mirza, Mir Manzoor Ghazanfar etc. have been made accused. In this case, the rest of the accused, including Abdullah, are also to be produced on August 27, 2002.

ED has presented this chargesheet before a court in Jammu and Kashmir. In this, there have been allegations of money laundering against other people including Abdullah. Let us tell you that this scam is related to Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA).

ED has already taken action in this case. Then immovable assets worth Rs 21.55 crore were attached. This included the properties of Farooq Abdullah, Ahsan Ahmed Mirza, Mir Manzoor etc. The ED has said that it has been found in the investigation that cash was withdrawn from the JKCA bank account without any reason. Simultaneously, the money of JKCA was transferred to several private accounts, including the accounts of some JKCA officials.

The ED had started a money laundering probe in this case. For this, the FIR registered by the CBI was made the basis.The CBI had registered this FIR in July 2018. It was alleged that JKCA was wrongly shown a loss, while the accused wrongly got a profit of Rs 43.69 crore. So far, the ED has attached assets worth Rs 21.55 crore in this case. At the same time, Ahsan Ahmed Mirza was arrested by the CBI in September 2019. He was the treasurer of JKCA at the time of the alleged scam.
