Kajol wins Best Debut in a stunning black outfit at OTTplay Awards

A star-studded event, the OTTplay Awards, saw the presence of several notable celebrities, including Sanya Malhotra, Kartik Aaryan, Raveena Tandon, Sobhita Dhulipala, Rajkummar Rao, Alaya F, and Mona Singh.

Kajol wins Best Debut in a stunning black outfit at OTTplay Awards

Several prominent film celebrities, who have made a mark in the OTT space, graced the OTTplay Awards in Mumbai on Sunday. The star-studded event included Kajol, Anil Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Raveena Tandon, Kartik Aaryan, Alaya F, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and many more.

Kajol, who looked stunning in a sleek black gown with translucent sleeves, attended the event. She was accompanied by her nephew Aaman Devgan, who was also dressed in black. Kajol, despite her over three decades in the industry, was honored with the Best Debut (female) award for her web show debut in “The Trial,” where she portrayed a lawyer.

Alaya F donned a similar gown in maroon and starred opposite Kartik Aaryan in the film “Freddy,” which was released on Disney+ Hotstar. Kartik attended the event in a black suit paired with a black T-shirt and won the Best Actor (male) award for his role as a killer dentist in “Freddy.”

Anil Kapoor, who won the Best Actor (Male) award for his portrayal of an arms dealer in the web show “The Night Manager,” was also in attendance. His co-star Sobhita Dhulipala, who plays the lead role in “Made In Heaven,” was among the best-dressed celebrities, donning a beige saree with a short kurta.

Rajkummar Rao, dressed in a black suit with a tie, received the OTT Performer of the Year award for his performances in “Guns and Gulaabs” and “Monica, O My Darling.”

Karishma Tanna arrived in a shimmery blue two-piece outfit, and her web show “Scoop” won the Best Series on True Events award. Aditi Rao Hydari, in an off-shoulder black jumpsuit, starred in the web show “Taj: Divided by Blood” and its second season, “Taj: Reign of Revenge.” Mona Singh, dressed in a white waistcoat and pants, also graced the purple carpet. She starred alongside Sharman Joshi in the web show “Kafas.”

Babil Khan was spotted wearing an animal print blazer with shimmery pants and received the Best Debut Male award for his Netflix film “Qala.”

Raveena Tandon, who made her OTT debut with the web show “Aranyak” in 2021 and featured in “One Friday Night” on JioCinema this year, attended the awards night in a knee-length black outfit.

Sanya Malhotra, who had a notable role in “Jawan” and appeared in the film “Kathal” on Netflix, graced the OTTplay Awards in a blue cold-shoulder gown.
