Mumbai: Preity Zinta took to Instagram to share her favourite scene from her film Kal Ho Naa Ho, in which she co-starred with Shah Rukh Khan. On November 27, Kal Ho Naa Ho was released, exactly 19 years ago. Preity revealed that it was her “saddest happy film.” She considered herself lucky for being part of the film and said she enjoyed it thoroughly.
This is one of my favourite movie scenes since several pages of conversation were captured in a single long take. A few close-up shots were added afterwards. The video demonstrated how Shah Rukh attempted to teach Preity the art of living, emphasising the need to live in the moment and not worry about the future.
The movie’s story and screenplay were written by filmmaker Karan Johar. The film was directed by Nikkhil Advani and produced by Yash Johar, and that was his last film before his death in 2004.
One of Preity’s admirers responded to the movie clip by writing, “One of the nicest dialogues ever. I got Kal Ho Naa Ho tattooed on my wrist as a daily reminder to be grateful for everything I have. Another fan commented, “This makes me want to watch this film again.” Another fan wrote, “Naina was so lovely, as lovely as youuu, Zee!
Preity was cast as Naina Catherine Kapur in Kal Ho Naa Ho, who fell in love with Shah Rukh Khan, who played Aman Mathur in the film. Saif Ali Khan, Jaya Bachchan, Sushma Seth, Reema Lagoo, and Lillete Dubey, along with Delnaaz Paul and Sonali Bendre, were also featured in that film.
