Kanjhawala Case: Postmortem was done yesterday in the mortuary of Maulana Azad Medical College. The post-mortem was done by the Medical Board.
New Delhi: According to the autopsy report of the victim of the Kanjhawala case, there are no injury marks or wounds on her private parts. According to the source, the doctors will submit their post mortem report today at 2 pm. The victim’s jeans, swab have been kept safe. Postmortem was done yesterday in the mortuary of Maulana Azad Medical College. The post-mortem was done by the Medical Board.
According to the police, the girl was the sole breadwinner in her family. On the night of 31 December, her scooty collided with a car and she got trapped under the car. She was dragged for about 12 kilometers and found naked on a road in Kanjhawala. Five people allegedly traveling in the car were booked on Monday under sections including culpable homicide not amounting to murder. The police, however, were also accused of conducting a ‘flaky investigation’ in the case. The five accused were sent to police custody for three days on Monday.
Sources said the blood samples of the accused have been sent for medical examination to ascertain whether they were drunk at the time of the incident and the report is awaited. New high-quality security camera footage showed the victim, who was trapped under the car, being dragged for nearly an hour.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has sought a detailed report on the incident from the Delhi Police. Delhi Police has constituted an inquiry committee headed by Special Commissioner Shalini Singh and has asked them to submit a report regarding the incident at the earliest.
