Kanjhawala incident: Sixth man, owner of the car arrested for helping the accused in Delhi case

New Delhi: Police has arrested Ashutosh, the sixth accused in Delhi’s Kanjhawala accident case. All the accused had taken Ashutosh’s car only. Ashutosh is accused of helping the accused. According to the police, there were only four accused in the car at the time of the incident. Deepak was in the house, but Amit called him later. Amit did not have a driving license, so Deepak took the responsibility that he was driving the car. Whereas in the investigation it was revealed that Amit was driving the car at the time of the incident.

In this case, a CCTV footage was also revealed, in which after dragging Anjali from the car, the accused stop the Baleno car at one place and get down from the car and escape in the auto. This video is of 4:33 in the morning on the day of the accident. After removing Anjali’s body from the vehicle in Kanjhawala, all the accused reach Rohini Sector-1 to hand over the vehicle to Ashutosh, the owner of the vehicle.

Ashutosh helped the accused to escape
It is visible in the CCTV footage that the vehicle arrives at 4.33. Deepak gets down from the driving seat of Baleno, Manoj Mittal of small height gets down from the seat next to the driver, the rest 3 get down from the rear seat.

Ashutosh and some boys were already standing here, whom these accused had told on the phone that an accident had happened. An auto was already arranged for their escape. The accused come, get down from the car and then abscond sitting in the auto.

Earlier on Thursday, the Delhi Police had made several important revelations in the case of Anjali, who was a victim of a road accident. Delhi Police’s Special CP Sagarpreet Hooda told that not 5 but 7 people were involved in this crime. Like the five main accused, there are two more people who were involved in this.

No evidence of rape was found – Police
Hooda said that Delhi Police’s investigation has reached a very important point. Our 18 teams are working. Statements of 164 eyewitnesses have been taken. Among the two other accused, one is Ashutosh and the other is Ankush Khanna. We are waiting for the final post mortem report. However, he denied getting any evidence of rape.

The police said that the accused and the victim had no previous relationship. Anjali’s friend Nidhi is an important witness in this case. Will file a strong charge sheet with all the evidence soon and get the accused punished.
