Karnataka: 20-Year-old man allegedly killed delivery agent as he was unable to pay for an iPhone ordered online

Bengaluru: In yet another tragic incident, man from Karnataka killed delivery agent for iPhone. In fact, a 20-year-old man first ordered an iPhone online. When the delivery agent came to deliver the mobile phone, the person was unable to pay for the order. So he allegedly killed the delivery agent.

On February 7, Hemant Dutt stabbed EKart delivery agent Hemant Naik several times at his home in Hassan district. EKart is a subsidiary of e-commerce platform Flipkart.

According to the investigation so far, Dutt kept the body in a gunny bag at his home for three days before burning it near a railway track. Police said that he had also bought petrol to burn the body and destroy the evidence.

The police started the investigation after the victim’s brother Manju Naik filed a missing report. Dutt was seen on CCTV cameras going on a two-wheeler with the body towards the railway track. Two days ago also he was seen buying petrol in a bottle from a petrol pump.

Following an investigation, Hassan Police apprehended him.
