Bidar (Karnataka): In a tragic incident, Seven women were killed and 11 others injured in a head-on collision between an auto rickshaw and a truck in a village in Chittaguppa taluk in Bidar late Friday night. These women were laborers and were returning home by auto rickshaw after work. Auto rickshaw collided with truck near Barmalkheda Government School.

The deceased have been identified as Parvati (40), Prabhavati (36), Gundamma (60), Yadamma (40), Jagamma (34), Iswaramma (55) and Rukmani Bai (60), police said. Police said that the drivers of both the vehicles were also among the 11 injured in the accident. Two of the injured are in critical condition. Case has been registered.
