Bengaluru: A BJP woman worker was arrested in Bengaluru on Friday for her alleged derogatory social media post against Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. Accused Shakuntala had shared the tweet of a Congress leader – alleging that the BJP is using the Udupi case as a political weapon. To this he retweeted and wrote, “Had this happened to Siddaramaiah’s daughter-in-law or his wife, would you still say so?”
The alleged derogatory posts against the chief minister were shared on Twitter and Facebook. A complaint was lodged at the High Grounds police station in Bengaluru and the police arrested him after registering a case.
Three girl students of a college in Karnataka’s Udupi have been accused of surreptitiously recording videos in the women’s toilet. The incident came to light last week when a girl student found a mobile phone in the toilet and informed the college administration.
However, examination of the device did not reveal any objectionable material and the student refused to file a police report. However, the college administration reported the incident to the police and suspended all three on Sunday.
