New Delhi: Karnataka Congress chief DK Shivakumar was seen throwing Rs 500 notes at artists near Bevinahalli in Mandya district during the ‘Praja Dhvani Yatra’ organized by the Congress in Srirangapatna. The video of this incident has also surfaced.
It can be seen in the video that DK Shivakumar is seen throwing currency notes at people in a road show near Bevinahalli. There the existing mob breaks in to loot the money.
DK Shivakumar blew Rs 500 notes at people yesterday after which Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai said that he (DK Shivakumar) does everything and openly uses all kinds of power. The Congress thinks that people (of Karnataka) are beggars but the public will teach them. People are the real owner.
Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said on the occasion that the party and the government are fully prepared for the elections. Preparation is already underway. We are just waiting for ECI to announce the dates. We will return to power with a huge majority.
Let us inform that elections are to be held on 224 assembly seats in Karnataka. The Congress has 68 MLAs in the 224-member house. However, in the 2018 assembly elections, Congress won 80 seats, JDS won 37 seats. Whereas, BJP had won 104 seats. No party could get majority. Let us inform that the tenure of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly is coming to an end on May 24.
