Karnataka: A shocking incident happened in Tumkuru city of Karnataka, five members of a family were found dead inside their home on Sunday night. The deceased, who died by suicide, have been identified as Gareeb Saab, his wife Sumaiyya, their daughter Hajira, and sons Mohammad Shabhan and Mohammad Muneer.
Karnataka: A shocking incident happened in Karnataka, five members of a family were found dead inside their home on Sunday night. The deceased, who died by suicide, have been identified as Gareeb Saab, his wife Sumaiyya, their daughter Hajira, and sons Mohammad Shaban and Mohammad Muneer.
According to the information, they are believed to have died by suicide due to financial distress and alleged mental torture. Saab used to sell ‘Kabab’ for a livelihood. He hailed from Lakkenahalli village in Shira Taluk of Tumakuru. According to the police, Garneb (33) and his wife Sumayya (30) were found hanging from the ceiling of their living room, while the couple’s three children were found lying dead on the bed.
Ashok Kumar, Tumakuru SP said that Garned allegedly wrote a suicide note and also shot a video in which he mentioned the financial distress that the family was going through. In the video, the deceased explained how the man and his family members, residing in the same building, tortured his family and led them to take the extreme step. In addition, in the video, which was addressed to Karnataka’s Home Minister Dr G Parmeshwar, he also accused one person, identified as Kalander, of harassing, abusing and humiliating him and his family on multiple
After giving information about the incident, Superintendent of Police (SP) Ashok KV said, “Yesterday evening at around 7:30 pm, we got information that in the same house, five bodies were found. Two adults were found hanging and 3 kids were found lying on the bed. Gareeb Saab had written a death note and a video before dying by suicide.” According to reports, five accused persons have been taken into custody.
