These officials stand accused of accumulating assets that significantly exceeds their known sources of income, according to Lokayukta sources, as quoted by sources. This extensive crackdown was executed by more than 250 Lokayukta officers, targeting those accused of amassing disproportionate wealth.

Extensive raids conducted by multiple teams of Lokayukta police assisted by local law enforcement starts in the wee hours of the day. A wide range of assets including substantial amounts of cash, gold, real estate properties, luxury vehicles, land investments, stocks and high-end electronic equipment were reportedly unearthed during the raid.

The searches unveiled a shocking tale of corruption, as officials from multiple districts, including Bengaluru, Chitradurga, Kalaburagi, Raichur, Hassan, Bidar, Devadurga, and Mandya, came under scrutiny.

Dr. A Subramanyeahwara, the Inspector General of Police (Lokayukta), revealed, “We have registered 17 cases against government officials across Karnataka. These raids are ongoing at 70-odd locations.”
