Death Threats Against PM Modi and CM Yogi: In a concerning development, an FIR has been lodged against Mohammad Rasool, a resident of Surpur in Karnataka’s Yadgiri district, for issuing death threats to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The accused allegedly posted a video on Facebook containing offensive language directed at PM Modi and explicit threats against the Chief Minister.
The accused, identified as Mohammad Rasool, posted a video on the social media platform, sparking outrage as he not only used offensive language against PM Modi but also made explicit threats to end his life and that of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The video, deemed a serious security concern, prompted a prompt response from law enforcement.
A local resident filed a complaint, leading to the Surpur police registering a case against Mohammad Rasool under sections 505(1)(b) and 25(1)(b), along with invoking the Arms Act. The severity of the charges reflects the gravity of the threats issued by the accused.
Given the seriousness of the matter, authorities have launched a manhunt to apprehend Mohammad Rasool. The search extends to various locations, including Hyderabad, where the accused had previously worked as a laborer before settling in Surpur.
