The condition of the roads is pathetic following the heavy downpour. Waterlogging and inundation have made the situation go from bad to worse. Locals were blaming the authorities for the situation because they had never listened to their complaints about road repairs.

Therefore, the villagers in Hulikeri took this step and staged a demonstration, raising their voices against the authorities while bathing in the mud.

Due to persistent rain, waterlogging can be seen on the Bengaluru roads as well. The situation in the state capital is so bad that IT professionals and employees have to use tractors to reach their offices.

The rainfall has created a ruckus in several parts of Karnataka; daily life has turned chaotic. Bengaluru has experienced 1,704 mm of rainfall this year, which may be the wettest year.
