Kejriwal govt plans to curb pollution in Delhi, bans entry of medium & heavy vehicles from Oct to Feb 2023

New Delhi: The Arvind Kejriwal government of Delhi has started preparations to deal with the cold weather pollution in the national capital. There will be a ban on the entry of trucks and medium transport vehicles in Delhi from October to February 2023. According to the government order, ‘Keeping in view the apprehensions of a huge increase in pollution during the winter season, the government has banned the entry of heavy and medium freight vehicles in Delhi from October 1, 2022 to March 28, 2023.

Usually, in November or December, the entry of vehicles like trucks to mini tempos is banned for only 15-20 days. According to reports, around 70,000-80,000 trucks enter Delhi every day. The vehicles that will be allowed in the city include CNG-run commercial vehicles.
