Chalakudy: A court in Kerala’s Chalakudy sent eleven women to judicial custody after their video of thrashing a man and his family went viral on social media. The man was attacked by the women for allegedly morphing a pastor’s picture.
The bizarre incident took place at the Emperor Emmanuel Retreat Center in Thrissur, Kerala.
The women first dragged out the man named Shaji, his wife Ashlyn, son Sajan, and their relatives Edwin and Anwin from their car, and after that, they thrashed all of them mercilessly.
The man was accused of morphing the image of the church’s pastor; earlier, he was part of that church. He shared the pastor on numerous social media platforms.
The church authorities had taken the issue seriously and lodged a case against the man with the Aloor police who morphed the pastor, and the investigation has been going on since the attack occurred.
On the other hand, those women who were involved in fighting with the man have been booked under Section 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
