Kerala HC dismissed the request of Swapna Suresh, an accused in the gold smuggling case, to quash the two cases that were registered against her.
Ernakulam: The Kerala High Court has dismissed the request of Swapna Suresh, an accused in the gold smuggling case, to end the two cases that were registered against her. The two charges are: provocation to disturb the harmony and criminal conspiracy.
An FIR was registered against Swapna Suresh for allegedly spreading rumours and fake information against MLA KT Jaleel, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and the Kerala government. She had previously created a conspiracy against the Chief Minister, his family, and MLA KT Jaleel that they had been involved in a gold scam.
Swapna Suresh, a key suspect in the diplomatic bag case involving gold smuggling, had stated that she had started the process of filing a petition in the Kerala High Court to quash the FIR against her for allegedly planning to incite a disturbance in the state through her revelations.
Suresh had also threatened to reveal what she had mentioned in her statement against KT Jaleel. He allegedly conspired against her.
Jaleel is plotting against me by filing a complaint against me, sending a representative of the CM to resolve the issue with me, and then using that person as a witness against me.
