Kerala: PM Modi holds a massive roadshow in Kochi; Big focus on jobs

New Delhi: PM Modi, who arrived on Kerala visit, did a roadshow in Kochi on Monday evening. This road show of PM Modi was seen differently from other road shows. During this, PM Modi got out of his car and continued walking in the roadshow on foot for some time. PM Modi’s roadshow has taken place at a time when a few days back he was threatened with a suicide bomb attack through a letter. After receiving the letter, Kerala Police and central agencies are on alert.

Dressed in Kasavu Mundu, a traditional Kerala dress, Modi initially walked a short distance and waved to people standing on either side of the road. Tight security arrangements were made during the roadshow. Thousands of police forces were deployed for Modi’s security. To ensure the safety of PM Modi, there was tight security on the route of about two kilometers and thousands of policemen were deployed.

Significantly, the state unit president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) K. Surendran’s office had received a letter purportedly written in Malayalam by a resident of Kochi. The letter was handed over to the police by Surendran last week. Intelligence reports say that last week the BJP State Committee President of Kerala received a letter written in Malayalam containing a death threat to the Honorable Prime Minister of India using a suicide bomber.

Here Union Minister of State V. Muraleedharan also condemned the alleged leak of the ADGP (Intelligence) report and said that it is a serious matter. Meanwhile, Kochi resident N. J. Johnny said that he is innocent. Johnny’s name and number were in the alleged threat letter. He told the media, “The police have interrogated me. I have given them all the information. They checked the handwriting and everything.” Johnny’s family said they suspect another person in the area regarding the letter, which has some controversy over a matter related to a church.
