Kerala TV journalist killed in elephant attack while shooting on man-animal conflict in Palakkad

A TV journalist died in an elephant attack in Kerala. A 34-year-old cameraman of a leading Malayalam news channel was killed in a wild elephant attack while reporting in Kerala's Palakkad district on Wednesday.

Kerala News : A TV journalist died in an elephant attack in Kerala. A 34-year-old cameraman of a leading Malayalam news channel was killed in a wild elephant attack while reporting in Kerala’s Palakkad district on Wednesday. According to reports, AV Mukesh, who worked with Mathrubhumi News, was seriously injured in the attack while he and the reporter were capturing scenes of the movements of the herd of stray elephants.

TV journalists were shooting a bunch. A herd of elephants was crossing the river. Then an elephant attacked them. After which 34 year old journalist AV Mukesh was admitted to the hospital in Palakkad district for treatment. Here the doctors declared him dead.

Mukesh was a part of the channel’s New Delhi bureau for many years. Mukesh proved his skills in reporting by writing more than 100 articles as part of the column “Athijeevanam” in Mathrubhumi, in which he depicted the lives of marginalized people.
