Khalistani terrorist Harvinder Singh Rinda linked to Punjab RPG attack dies in Pakistan

Khalistani terrorist Harvinder Singh Rinda has died in Pakistan. The Bambiha gang has claimed on social media that it has killed Rinda in Pakistan. However, intelligence agencies say that Rinda died due to kidney failure. He was admitted in the hospital for several days.

New Delhi: Khalistani terrorist Harvinder Singh Rinda, who was involved in many terrorist incidents in the country, has died in Pakistan. The Bambiha gang has claimed on social media that it has killed Rinda in Pakistan. On the other hand, intelligence agencies say that Rinda died due to kidney failure. He was admitted in a hospital in Pakistan for the last 15 days.

Terrorist Harvinder Singh Rinda was a member of the banned Khalistani organization Babbar Khalsa International. In May this year, his name figured in the Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) attack on the Punjab Police Intelligence Headquarters in Mohali. Apart from this, arms and explosives were seized from a vehicle in Haryana in May itself. Rinda’s hand was behind this.

Rinda’s hand behind the murder of Dera Pradeep

Along with this, Rinda’s name has also come up in the case of the murder of Dera lover Pradeep Singh in Faridkot, Punjab. Pradeep Singh, accused in the Bargari sacrilege case in 2015, was killed by shooters in the morning itself. In this case, the Special Cell of Delhi Police had caught 3 shooters, who had taken the name of Rinda.

Earlier, Khalistani supporter Jagjit Singh had also taken the name of Rinda. Jagjit Singh was arrested by the Punjab Police in June 2021 with 48 pistols, 200 cartridges. Rinda has many criminal cases registered in Punjab and Maharashtra. Apart from this, Rinda’s name also came up in the terrorist attack on the CIA building last year. Rinda was also involved in the attack in Ludhiana Court in December last year.

He was a “most-wanted ‘A’ plus category” gangster in Punjab and also wanted in many cases in Maharashtra, Chandigarh, Haryana and West Bengal, among other places.

Rinda had migrated from Sarhali village in Tarn Taran district in Punjab many years ago to Nanded in Maharashtra, according to police sources.

He entered the world of crime in 2008 when he allegedly killed man due to personal enmity in Tarn Taran. Rinda was also involved in the killing of Satnam Singh, the sarpanch of Hoshiarpur in Chandigarh in a sensational broad day light incident.

He along with his gang committed murders, dacoities and extortions and he is an absconder and wanted in at least 30 known criminal cases.
