“Karan is currently shooting for ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ and it’s in May when he will wrap up a major chunk of the film. One calling it a schedule wrap, Karan will commence his work on his chat show, ‘Koffee with Karan’. The planning and pre-production has already begun and the team is now all ready to start shooting from mid-May,” revealed a source close to the development. The programme is set to premiere on Star Network in the month of June.

It’ll be a star-studded season, with practically the whole industry anticipated to attend KjO’s coffee table discussion. This season is anticipated to include Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, Neetu Singh, Sidharth Malhotra, Rashmika Mandanna, Katrina Kaif, and Siddhant Chaturvedi. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt- the newlywed pair, will also make their first on-screen appearance after their wedding on season 7 of Koffee with Karan.

Notably, the rumours of Star World Channel, where the show has been telecasted, is planning to wrap up the show in India started following actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. Netizens called out Karan Johar for promoting nepotism and mocking Sushant and other outsiders in the industry in his controversial show, ‘Koffee With Karan’. However, with recent updates on the show it all seems rumours as KJo is all set to host more celebrities at his popular coffee table.

Meanwhile, Karan Johar’s next film, starring Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Ranveer Singh, and Alia Bhatt, is set to hit theatres around the Valentine’s Day weekend of 2023. ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’, ‘Liger’, ‘Brahmastra’, ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’, ‘Govinda Naam Mera’, and ‘Selfie’ are just a few of his productions. In addition, he is working on a number of projects on the OTT platform.
