Know 5 cool features of all-new Tata Safari Adventure Persona edition

Lucknow: Tata Motors on February 22 launched all-new Safari with interesting new features which makes it completely different from the previous one as it is based on a new Omega ARC platform and a monocoque chassis instead of a ladder-frame chassis.

To step up its aesthetic design makers have removed all the chrome trims from the Adventure Persona Edition to give the Safari a more stealthy look. The front chrome surrounds for the headlamps, tri-arrow front grille, “Safari” badging and the front skid plate is finished in black instead of chrome. At the side, the door handles and the roof rails are also finished in black. At the rear also the “Safari” badging is finished in black instead of chrome.

Where, the Safari gets an ivory white upholstery, the Adventure Persona Edition gets an Earthy Brown cabin theme. What makes it more classy is its piano-black over the AC vents, steering wheel, centre console, grabs handle surrounds, switches and knobs. There are no changes made to the features or the layout of the cabin.

The wheels of regular Safari gets machined 18-inch alloy wheels that are an inch bigger than the Harrier, while, for the Adventure Edition, the 18-inch alloy wheels are finished in Charcoal-grey. The design for the alloy wheels on both SUVs remains the same.

Tata’s Adventure Persona Edition is only available with XZ+ and the XZA+ variant. Where Safari’s XZ+ variant costs INR 19.99 lakhs (ex-showroom), the Adventure Persona Edition will cost you INR 20.20 lakhs (ex-showroom).

For the XZA+ variant, the Safari costs INR 21.25 lakhs (ex-showroom) but the Adventure Persona Edition costs INR 21.45 lakhs ex-(showroom), with a difference of INR 20,000 in its prices.

The changes for the Adventure Persona Edition are only cosmetic and no mechanical changes are being made to the SUV. Hence, it continues with the same 2.0-litre Kyrotec diesel engine that produces 170 PS of max power and a peak torque output of 350 Nm. It has been givem a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

According to Tata Motors President of Passenger Vehicles Business Division, Mr. Shailesh Chandra, “Safari had introduced India to the SUV lifestyle and in its contemporary avatar, the new Safari is in-sync with the multifaceted lifestyles of today’s SUV customer. With its plush interiors, state-of-the-art connectivity and premium features, the Safari not just blends in but ups the lifestyle quotient several notches higher. With the introduction of the ‘Adventure’ persona, customers have more choice to select the Safari that best complements their individual personality to ‘Reclaim Your Life’.”
