Mumbai: Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi dancer from Kolkata, Amarnath Ghosh, has been shot dead in the US, shared Actress and former Bigg Boss contestant Devoleena Bhattacharjee on her social media followers on Friday (March 1).
According to Bhattacharjee, Amarnath Ghosh was killed in St Louis, Missouri on Tuesday evening. Ghosh’s website said he was pursuing a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Dance at Washington University in Saint Louis.

The dancer was taking an evening walk when he was shot multiple times by an unidentified assailant, said Bhattacharjee.
She sought help from the Indian embassy in the US, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying friends of Ghosh tried to claim his body but there had been no update on it.
The actor shared that Amarnath Ghosh was the only child in his family. His mother died three years ago and his father died when he was a child, she added.
