On Monday, KTM India has launched the MotoGP edition of both the RC390 and RC200 motorcycles in India. The special editions will be sold along the standard KTM Rc range.
New Delhi: On Monday, KTM India has launched the MotoGP edition of both the RC390 and RC200 motorcycles in India. The special editions will be sold along the standard KTM Rc range. The company has not increased the price of the motorbikes with the launch of the special editions.
The GP special edition variants will be sold along with the existing KTM RC range at the same price – KTM RC 390 GP: Rs 3,16,070 (Ex-showroom Delhi) and KTM RC 200 GP: Rs 2,14,688 (Ex-showroom Delhi). Bookings for the new bikes have also commenced across all KTM showrooms in India.
KTM RC390 comes powered by a 373 cc liquid-cooled single cylinder engine with a power output of 43hp maximum. It delivers a 37Nm peak torque. While the KTM RC 200 is equipped with a 199 cc liquid-cooled single cylinder engine. It is said to produce maximum power of 25.4 hp and 19.5 Nm torque. The trellis frame in both bikes is also lighter, and the wheel new feature a new minimal five-spoke design that saves 3.5 kg of unsprung mass.
The fuel tank is also larger than before at 13.7-litres, and the handlebars have been also been raised by 10 mm with the help of clip-on handlebars that gives it a slight upright-ish position and relaxed ergonomics. Engines on both the motorcycles are mated with a 6-speed transmission.

The special GP edition launched today complements the aggressive performance bias of the motorcycle with a livery that showcases its racing genes.”
