Patna: Rashtriya Janata Dal supremo Lalu Yadav on Sunday lashed out against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party ruling at the Centre and alleged that the country is “heading towards civil war”.
On the one hand, Lalu, the former chief minister of Bihar, urged the people to come together on one platform against inflation and unemployment.
“The way the BJP is working, the country is moving towards civil war. I call upon the people to unite against inflation, unemployment and corruption in the country. We’ve to fight united and we’ll win, “Lalu Yadav said at the Sampoorna Kranti Diwas during his virtual address.
Lalu also asked the secular forces now the time has come to unite and fight together. “We do not have to back off,” he said.
However, the Jharkhand High Court granted bail to Lalu in April for the 139.35-crore withdrawal of illegal money from Doranda Treasury. The case has a connection with the fodder-scam.
He has been granted bail on the uniform yardstick of half custody and health issues. He will be released soon. He will have to deposit 1 lakh as surety and 10 lakh as fine, “said his lawyer, Debarsi Mondal.
