Patna: Lalu Prasad Yadav, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo and former chief minister of Bihar, was taken to Paras Hospital in Patna on Monday. When Lalu slipped from the staircase, he suffered shoulder and back injuries.
The 74-year-old RJD leader, who has been suffering from several health issues is currently getting treatment at Paras Hospital. Earlier, he was readmitted to AIIMS following his deterioration of health.
The family doctor has applied a temporary plaster on his shoulder. Meanwhile, an MRI scan makes it clear that he suffered a fracture in his right shoulder.
RJD sources have said he was shifted to the ICU and was having breathing problems, adding that his condition has been deteriorating.
As per sources, he had complained about breathing issues around 4 am. His son, Tejashwi Yadav, soon took him to Paras hospital and admitted him there. He is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Doctors are treating him.
The veteran leader wants to move to Singapore for his kidney transplant. The court has released his passport as well.
Lalu was a convict in the fodder scam and is currently on bail after serving most of his prison sentence. He has a number of health issues, including a kidney infection, water buildup in the lungs, and high blood pressure.
