Landslide in Himachal Pradesh Buries Vehicles as Heavy Rain Triggers Chaos

Heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh have caused severe landslides, burying several vehicles in debris and prompting an urgent rescue operation.

Heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh have caused severe landslides, burying several vehicles in debris and prompting an urgent rescue operation.

Landslides Near Shimla
Heavy rain between Thursday night and Friday morning caused landslides around Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, trapping several vehicles in the debris.

Vehicles Trapped in Debris
Several vehicles were passing near the mountains when large rocks slipped and engulfed them. Around 3 to 4 vehicles were stuck in the debris, but fortunately, the occupants managed to escape unharmed.

Rescue Operation Launched
Passersby helped rescue those trapped, and the police and local authorities quickly started a rescue operation. The landslide also stopped traffic on the affected roads.

More Rain Expected: Warning Issued
The heavy rain has made travel difficult for tourists in the mountains. Roads in higher areas are badly affected. Local authorities have issued a warning for more heavy rain. The weather department predicts more rain in several districts of Himachal Pradesh.

Flooding in Delhi and North India
The heavy rains not only impacted the mountains but also caused severe waterlogging in the plains of North India. In Delhi, numerous areas experienced flooding, with cars and trucks submerged in water. The footpath railing near Noida Sector 18 also collapsed due to the intense rainfall.
